Peter Byron |

Peter William Byron was born in Greensborough, Victoria in 1960. He studied fine art at Diamond Creek Technical School and completed a Diploma of Fine Art at Preston Institute of Technology in 1982. He commenced painting as a full time career in 1989.
Peter first exhibited at the Virgin Mega store in Melbourne in 1990 with “the boy who would be king”. His portrait “John Bell on a motorcycle” was accepted into the National Library of Australia Pictorial Collection in 1993. See “John Bell” by Peter Byron. Other colourful characters painted by Peter include Dames Joyce Daws and Beryl Beurepair, John Elliot, Dr Lena McEwan and Sam Cook.
Peter draws from Australia’s People, Landscape and Flora and Fauna for inspiration a recent example is “Saturday afternoon picnic at Studley Park”.
Peter has exhibited widely in Australia in particular Melbourne and in recent years has worked exclusively on commissioned works.
His work is on permanent display at Henry’s Virtual Gallery. |
