Mark Hodge is a business professional with formal training in engineering and business administration from Monash University, The Ohio State University and Melbourne Business School. The majority of his professional career has been spent in technology development and management, producing commercial outcomes from research, technology and innovation. He has worked in the defence and aerospace sectors in the US and Australia and has experience in private enterprise and government organisations, developing policy and business strategy for a number of clients and stakeholders.
Mark is an active observer of the local and international geopolitical scene, and has a particular interest in US-Australian relations (not only with his midwest-based in-laws). He believes that Australia can learn much from the American "can do" attitude, that America can learn much from Australia's "she'll be right" approach to life, and that the two nations share a common bond based on much more than a simple alleged similarity in language and culture.
Mark enjoys watching movies and watching and participating in sport, particularly football, golf and cricket.
