Henry’s wandering geologist spent the last month, or so, following a drilling rig in the Pilbara region of Western Australia looking for base metals, or copper for the curious, and was unaware of many developments on the climate calamity front.  He did vote and found that his local member, Barry Haas, returned and was non-plussed over the ALP’s ascendancy to government, Bali notwithstanding.

As it’s Christmas and the time of the year when symbolism assumes more importance than it usually does, I wasn’t surprised when Australia signed the Kyoto Protocol, a fact which I was made continually aware of every time I turned on the radio to listen to the ABC; (The only time I listen to the ABC radio is when the ALP is in power so as to learn what political machinations are afoot nationally, the ABC being essentially the PR department of the ALP).

As Henry’s gentle readers may be aware, his wandering geologist is one of the 102 signatories of a letter to the UN Secretary General which may be read here and expects to be excoriated on the usual lefty blogs for this heresy and blasphemy.

But one recent news item was noted – that NASA discovered that the earth and sun are linked by enormous magnetic ropes and details may be read here. Of course for those of us who actually did practical physics at school and university, there are no such things as magnetic ropes but rather magnetic fields around linear electric currents that look like ropes. Put simply the earth is part of a gigantic solar electrical circuit and the earth’s climate is actually controlled by this electrical connection.  Dare I say it, this physical fact is quite absent from all the climate models. In addition science has discovered that clouds are associated with even larger envelopes of electrical particles and detailed here.  This discovery has confirmed Birkeland’s theories and supports the ideas incorporated in the science of plasma physics and cosmology. (In other words Henry’s wandering geologist was right and the climate alarmists wrong).

Put simply, the earth’s climate is dominated by the sun, not humanity, and as the earth’s “global temperature” has remained steady now since 1998 while CO2 emissions have been accelerating, it is now clear that anthropogenic global warming, or climate change, is simply based on specious science and its adherents nothing but climate charlatans gulling the credulous masses into accepting an eco-totalitarian state.

So, gentle readers, it’s a case of told you so – AGW was and is junk-science.
