"This is a satirical futuristic novel about University life and thought with some intruiging ideas in the field of economics and lots of sex. What more could one want?"

"This is a satirical futuristic novel about University life and thought with some intruiging ideas in the field of economics and lots of sex.  What more could one want?"
"The sex is pretty crude stuff - Micky Spillane rather than Aldous Huxley (with the exception of the story of the impregnation of Clementine I, with which AH would have been delighted,")

This was the judgment of a reader for a major publishing house.

The author, Elizabeth Peters, is a veteran of the drugs, sex and rock'n'roll of the swinging sixties but is now a distinguished academic.  She comments: "Micky Spillane with a bit of Aldous Huxley?  Eat your heart out, Peter Carey."

Warning: This is for consenting adults only - do not allow teenage kids to read it.
